Getting it Right

The Church of the Nazarene is rearticulating it's mission in a simple, to the point statement.

I'm downright proud. Resources and reasons for the change can be found here.

This is definitely on the right track for us Nazarenes. I like the term “Christ like” in the main statement in regards to holiness because it expresses a picture of holiness that goes beyond the shallow image of just personal piety that our tradition has come to associate with holiness. I think this still comes out a bit with the added qualifiers in the statement of “holy” and “righteous” but the idea of seeking Christ likeness goes far beyond just these two things.

Peace,

James

James -
Is the same Jamie Diggs that went to MidAmerica in the early 90's?
If so, we must meet for coffee in DC (I come up there every 2-3 months for a day away).
Peace,
Scott
